During the seminar, we shall focus on the style, expression, sound and role of the guitarist as an accompanist. We will make references to music theory and harmony (depending on the participants’ average level and will), as well as focus on rhythms, different ways of modulation of given melodies, and examples in respect of repertoire. The exact direction of the lessons will be decided in collaboration with the participants, as it will depend on their level and their questions, for the benefit of all!
Good progress to all of us and may we have a great Summer!
I was born in Athens in 1979. When I was eight, I got jealous of a kid who had brought his keyboards to school, and that’s when I decided I wanted to play music. I enrolled in the National Conservatoire, class of pipe music. In 1996, I graduated from the Music Lyceum of Pallini. I am a self-taught guitar player. I have been a professional player since the age of seventeen. At first, I was mainly involved with popular and traditional music, playing with various bands and doing several studio recordings. Later on, I shifted more towards jazz and other styles of music.
